Fixing what’s wrong takes effort.
Throughout my career, professional development, and personal life experiences, I’ve realized that there are no quick fixes in life. Healing takes intention and patience. Growth takes time and persistence. We must put in the time if we want to see the results.
While putting in the time, we can’t neglect other areas of our lives; otherwise, we become unbalanced. This investment allows us to maintain wellness in all areas of our lives, making us perform at our highest potential.
Life has thrown challenges my way like yours.
Experience with a traumatic brain injury both defined and challenged my identity and resolve. This experience instilled a deep level of empathy and authenticity to connect with and support the people I work with to foster healing and growth.
My professional career has centered around locked settings of jails and inpatient psychiatric hospitals. It is an honor to work with survivors of traumatic experiences such as rape, domestic violence, warfare, neglect, child abuse, and institutionalization. My other specialty areas include psychosis, mood disorders, and traumatic brain injuries.
When I am not working…
I enjoy spending time outdoors, staying physically active, reading, and traveling with my family.
